࿂ DESCRIBE YESELF!
When describing myself, I can get a bit snappy but, here it goes. I, Amaya O'Hierlihy, am a brunette. My hair reaches mid-back when not up and away from my face, and has a slight auburn tint. However, it is not very noticeable. When not down, I wear a French twist. I stand five foot five naturally, and only gain an inch or so when wearing my trusty, worn, leather boots. Speaking of my boots, these calf high beauties were worth the trouble and keep my black breeches tucked in place nicely. I wear a cream undershirt beneath a beige captain's shirt, which is kept in place by the simple black corset that amplifies my coy chest. Over my corset, I tend to wear the dark, navy admiral's jacket I nabbed from one of the admirals along the Côte d'Ivoire. While the jacket practically sweats on it's own under the sun, it's always a pleasure to have on those cold nights. Around my neck I do not make a habit of wearing much. On the run, it becomes rather difficult to remain silent when one has so much material clinking together. However, when I do sport some wear, I tend only to dawn a small opal necklace. I only wear it to match the opal ring I wear on my right, ring finger.
My skin tone is a medium olive, due to my Ukrainian mother and Greek father. Due to falling slave to the sun, a golden tint graces my skin. As much as I might wish for lighter skin, I will not forsake what I do have. My eye color is a light green. It's nothing too spectacular but I must say I find myself in favor of lighter eyes. My face isn't square nor round, my cheek bones are set high upon my face, and my eyebrows are a black in contrast to my hair color. While men typically like plumper lips, I could never bring myself to see the reason behind it. My lips aren't fantastic, but they certainly are thin. a nice color and running on the medium/smaller side, I like to believe that make lips would make a man happier for, wouldn't overly plump lips only make for a messy time? Besides the obvious, I do carry a scared over bullet wound deep in the muscle of my left calf. An accident really...
࿂ WHAT GIVES YE PLEASURE?
NATURE, there is nothing more beautiful than the freedom of the open water, the song of the morning birds, and the refreshing feel of rain on my skin. it's truly one of the things that make me glow. GOLD, however cliche it may be, I must admit that it feels so good to have a pocket full of pence to spend however you please, or decidedly steal from an unsuspecting persons. While i do love the feel of gold, the desire for a COMPANION always courses through my veins. while perhaps I'll settle one day, until I am awestruck and drooling, I'll be as rouge as open waters. However, when the is done and my body aches, there's nothing like a little RUM to help sort out my issues. The way the alcohol numbs my joints can almost compare to the relief those Indian herbs gave. Last but certainly never least, what takes me from point A to point B, a SHIP will always give me the ultimate pleasure, for not all ships are bound to one course.
࿂ WHAT MAKES YE ANGRY?
Dislikes? I have a plethora of dislikes. However, I'll spar you the list and get straight to the point. I hate MEN. With the exception of those I deem worthy, for the most part, I just don't give a damn. Sneaky, horny, and drunken devils, I tend to seek a more gentle company unless my heart swoons. On the flip-side, I must admit to a feminine fear of mine, ARACHNIDS. While I don't have any great explanation as to this dislike, it's merely just the fact that their look sends rage coursing through my body. However, fortunate for me, the sea doesn't make a great host to spiders. A fairly legitimate dislike that I hold somewhere deep in my subconscious, is RAPE. filthy, disgusting, unjustifiable, and down right rude, it's a scene I've paid a witness too and will not tolerate. Along side these dislikes runs the dislike for MAELSTROMS. While I never witnessed a full-fledged maelstrom, the tales were enough to keep me at bay for a fortnight in my youth, along with the images of fictitious scenarios running through my mind. Beside the mentioned above, I dislike THE KING OF ENGLAND and his band of sickly loyal bloodhounds. If it weren't for the king, perhaps the world would be a bit bigger.
࿂ WHAT DO YE HIDE?
When it comes to my FEARS, I must say that I am very afraid of ending up alone. While this one-woman act is a wonderful circus, I long for secure company coming from something other than myself and a ship. When it comes to what wonders in the dark, depths of my mind, a SECRET I do hold dear is the deep desire i harbor to forever remain a free bird in some sense. Hopefully as the world grows older, the times will allows such an exception? Finally, when it comes to my REGRETS, the one that will forever sit upon my shoulders, is the regret i have for killing a little boys canine. An act of self defense damned when I looked into the bewildered look of that sweet, boy.
࿂ WHAT SKILLS DO YE POSSES?
When it comes down my strengths, the two main ones consist of verbal persuasion and sexuality. Let's be honest, I may know how to wield a sword in the heat of battle, however, I am conscious of my lesser size and strength in comparison to men. While men can have strength is sheer bulk, what I lack in muscle I gain do what women do best, using my body language. Work yourself the right way, you can get what you want with your innocence still in tact. The other half of my strength comes from the simple act of persuasion. Tapping into what stuck with me most from my youthful schooling, I enjoying playing with sentence structure, especially when faced with an opponent with smarts such as myself.
While my weapons aren't my main strengths, I wield both a flint-lock pistol, a sturdy cutlass, and a letter opener.
My two main weaknesses are these; first and foremost (as cliches as it is), My main weakness is a truly dashing man. I won't think twice before letting my body get the best of him. My second weakness is good food. While most pirates spend their cuts on expansive materials, I gravitate toward the platter. If i don't watch myself, I'll spend a weeks worth on once meal
࿂ HOW DO YE ACT?
ME? I'm like a cat...and like a cat, I tell you how it is. If I don't want to be around you, I'll leave. If I want your attention, I'll purr for you. Otherwise, the rest is a vast gray area, ever changing, pumping out a thousand emotions a second, a volcano ready to suck it up or vomit molten lava over those unfortunate enough to land in my path. As extreme as I seem, I can be quite docile and sociable when approached the in an appropriate manner. I'm usually quick to respond, assume, and act if necessary. I do not give out trust lightly for, trust has to be earned. I will give anyone a chance however, screw it up and portions wont be so fulfilling anymore. There are some nay walls that I've had to build up for my own protection that I have a hard time pulling down to let someone in. A curse perhaps, or just a wound that will heal in time, my mind is very fragile . I learn quickly and move even faster, and can I never stop observing. I take in everything. Details are what I live for.
On the contrary, those who have respected my boundaries and have nestled into my heart, a more dedicated and protective friend couldn't be found anywhere else. I will stick to your side and defend you no matter what the situation. When it comes to a good gathering of people, I cannot help but invite myself. Many a masked balls I've weaseled my way into and out of in one piece, making off with a full stomach along the way. I enjoy good music and dense crowds, sword fights and gambling, and on occasion have been known to join in on such activities.
࿂ WOULD YE BE MISSED?
Growing up I had just about the same connect any child would if their was one of the kings men. Serving in royal navy, my father Lennox Percy O' Hierlihy was a captain himself, sailing to and forth from the sugar plantations of Cuba. A stern man through and through, yet with a pinch of st. Nicholas in his cheeks and a kinda smile, which is the reason, I believe, my mother went through with forced holy matrimony.
On the subject of my mother, Catherine Pennington O' Hierlihy was such a terrible beauty. equip with a very short temper, a liking for rum, and small in stature, she still had the biggest heart and best intentions for my younger sister Meredith and I. Now Meredith was the opposite of me, all around. Taller, fair, blond, and blessed with big blue eyes, Meredith was quiet, loved afternoon tea, and could sit by herself for hours knitting away, while I couldn't stand so glum and biddable.
As far as friendships and relationships go, they are a foreign subject to me growing up. the first real friend i ever had was the farm boy who lived on our property. He ran with me when all was lost, and eventually lost himself coming to my rescue.
࿂ YER STORY!
In 1652 A.D, Lennox Percy O' Hierlihy met a young English woman by the name of Catherine Pennington, whom he fell in love with and married. These are to be my mother and father; A man of the thrown and a woman from the far eastern reaches of europe. A captain in the king navy, my father sailed back and forth from the sugar plantations of Cuba and England, always coming back in one piece to my petite and hot-headed mother. For two years my parents fell into a military routine, uninterrupted until the twenty-sixth day in august, year sixteen hundred and fifty-four. This was the day I came screaming into the world, desperate for my mother's breast. Not too long afterward, my sister followed, only with a much softer grand entrance. While I think it's safe to say my father was disappoint with the lack males he had helped create, there was no doubt that as i grew, I soon became the secret apple of my fathers eye. Silent on the subject, I knew that he saved a special smile for me and appreciated my boy-like curiosity.
While all seemed peachy, the year i turned fourteen my mother feel ill victim to pneumonia, coaxing my father into a dark place after death has claimed her. What could go wrong, did go wrong from here on out. That drunken glazed look forever defined the rest of my fathers days as he slipped into is own insanity. After my mother came the aburpt change in family life. Our grand house became eerie as my sister and I waited day and night for my father to return safely from commission, on the docks in tradition. However, as the days past, our attempts to regain our last remaining parent, was futile and occured less and less as the months lingered on.
When April rolled around, my father was a ghost of the healthy man he once had been. In his place stood his, slurring, angry shell, just waiting for the unnatural to take him away. He got his wish sooner than anyone could have expected. Drowned to death in his own drink, my sister and I were now on our own. Meredith had become engaged at thirteen just months before father's passing, to a devil of a man and was shipped away from my grasp before I could take a deep breath.
With nothing but an empty house to my name, steward to Port Royal would by default choose me a husband and an unhappy life. At the last moment, I grabbed what I could and packed up my father small boat. Eventually, this lead me to where I am today, a pirate.

The rain fell harder than ever. Palm trees swayed dangerously in the strong wind. People ran recklessly around the Port’s town, and the sound of canons erupted into the humid night. The piercing screams of terrified souls rang out along the beaches as if they were a raging wild fire themselves.
On the highest hill sat a great white house. A house that belonged to a young girl and her family. Even with all the money her father had, they couldn’t escape from misfortune.
Wild, scraggily men trudged up the neat cobble stone path, lined with lilies. The flowers themselves where just like the town. They had been beautiful, Yet now they had began to wilt.
A bitter mother of law sat alone in a room before a great blazing fire. Her husband would never love her. He never had. It was only for the well being of his only daughter that he married. It had only been his daughter that could truly make him smile with love. She had been a fool to believed that he loved her. He had a fool to think he would actually get away with it. She tipped her crystal glass up towards her jealous lips, downing the heavy liquid.
Outside, a loud clap of thunder broke and lightning danced. The heavy gates burst open allowing the intruders to trickle onto the property. Feet stampeded over the freshly groomed law, and the white hibiscus flowers were swamped in mud. Jumping from shadow to shadow, the elusive monsters made their way closer to their destination. Sneaking up behind the guards to slit their exposed necks, spilling the blood of the unsuspecting victims. Guns dropped to the ground like it’s handlers limp body, seeming just as paled as their expressionless faces. Soon enough, as a frightened horse cried into the night, doors were broken down and windows were shattered. Aggressive men poured in, ending the lives of the kitchen maids.
A young girl of fifteen leaned heavily across the veranda railing. Tears from irritation ran like a waterfall down her face. Her waist long hair had fallen out of its dark brown curls and her full lips were swollen from emotion. The night gown she wore now clung tightly to her voluptuous body from the heavy down pour. Her eye lashes dripped from the rain and salty tears as her eyes stared down at the neckless she held in her cold hands. She eyed the fire Opal intently, remembering how just before her mother had died, it was given to her. Nothing good had come of it. Shortly after her father remarried, he replaced her mother with a demon. Her right check burned with pain. Her father had never been the same after it. Never giving the slightest damn about what anyone but himself thought or wanted. His hand print held the evidence.
More displeased tears slid down her matured features. She began to her faint sound coming from behind her; then her name. She gravely turned around still holding a blank expression as she watched a woman smirked as the towns nightmare gathered behind her.
