Walking into the Faithful Bride, the brunette's green eyes scanned the pathetic gathering before the large, wooden, moldy staircase that lead upstairs to numerous bedrooms used for those late night tangos. Petite hands clad in low-wrist black leather gloves, sat firmly on her full hips as she strode toward the crowd. Another brawl of sorts had broken out, it appeared, as the sound of those circled cheering on whoever was inside the make-shift ring. While this was never a rare occurrence, especially in Tortuga, Amaya wasn't all too fond of uncivil behavior in a tavern. However, ultimately unable to cease the fight, Amaya grabbed a random mug from an abandoned table, and took a large swing before pushing her way to the front of the crowd.
Ducking under thick arms, large bellies, and a stench that would knock your socks off, Amaya sneered at those around her as she fought to get up front. When she emerged, Amaya came face to face with a dirty free-for-all between five to ten, washed out, brute-like men. Snorting, Amaya suddenly wished she hadn't wasted her time as an onlooker. Sighing, she spun on her heel and struggled once more to get out of the crowd, and claim a table all to herself. However, it seemed she wasn't the only one who had this in mind. Over in a dark corner of the Faithful Bride, a figure sat in the shadows only in the company of a bottle of rum. Curious, Amaya took a seat and watched the stranger from he corner of her eyes.

And of course, Jack never did decline the call of the rum bottle. He took a good grib from it and with a large gulp he drank down the rum and sighed. The strong taste of it, went trough all of his body and he smiled. This would had been better if Gibbs was here with him, but since his trusty friend was out and about, somewhere in the crowd, Jack Sparrow had to drink his rum alone. But the best company was himself and so, the Captain didn't mind if he sat alone in the corner table, that seemed to be the most quietest place at the moment. As usual, the pub was packed with others and it was noisy as hell. For Jack, noisier the better. Not that he didn't love being the center of everything, it usually didn't end well for his part.
Jack took another sip from his bottle and let the alcohol go trough his guts. Rum always felt better with rum. But even though he was content as a cucumber, Jack suddenly had the urge to look around. And when he did, his eyes spotted an young woman, sneakily watching him. She might had hide her stare pretty well, but nothing did escape from Captain Jack Sparrow. The pirate grinned and got up from his seat. As he got up, he did loose his balance for a while, but after regaining back his legs, the pirate staggered his way to the young woman and smirked. " May I inquire the lady's name?" Captain spoke with his smooth voice.

Lifting her eyes, the brunette looked up with an emotionless face, to observe the stranger turned intruder. Green eyes subtly scanning the man who stood before her, another interruption was made when a loud thud was heard from the table top. Distracted for a moment, Amaya turned to grab the mug of rum with her left hand, bringing it to her lips for a large gulp before returning it to the moldy table, on which it had been carelessly tossed. Running a hand over her messy locks, Amaya pushed the hanker-chief a bit father back to keep the hair that had escaped the ribbon bout of her face. Shivering slightly when the fiery liquid surged through her core, Amaya cracked a small smirk and noted the bottle of rum in his hands. "I do not intend on being rude sir, but I must ask, how do I know you are not any different than those scumbags?"Nodding in the direction of the brawl, Amaya waited patiently for the man to t reply. While she really didn't mean to be rude, Amaya was always curious as to who her potential company stood. However, she did appreciate the fact that this soul had asked to acquire her name in such a proper manner, made Amaya even more curious about said stranger. While this was true, she had been swooned before by such pretty words from a handsome rouge before. Naturally, her guard was up, as it usually was for a woman in these waters. Not exactly the response what Jack had waited, but it was better than a slap on the face. To be honest, the captain wasn't sure had he met this lovely young woman before, since he wasn't too keen on remembering things and things tended to slip out of his mind time to time. Like owing money or stealing boats. Who could remember those tiny details ? Of course, since Jack being in debt just about every pirate or man here in Tortuga it really was no surprise that he wanted sometimes to stay clear of this place. Just like every port, specially Port Royal since there were people who almost hanged him. The sea was his home and it would always will be until he would die. And hopefully that would never come. Sailing the eternity was his dream, and well, with the right tricks, that could easily come true.
Jack arrived back this moment and cleared his throat. His handsome face twisting into a small grin. " I'm offended. Don't you know who I am?" The captain asked waiting for the answer for a while. Yes, he actually believed that everyone knew his name. And when the answer never came Jack, slightly offended, added. " I'm captain Jack Sparrow, of course. I'm nothing like those, wild beasts over there." He pointed at the crowd, where probably some of his crew members were. Probably those who were at the moment, urinating to the corner. Jack's arched eyebrow quickly disappeared and he looked back at the lovely lady. He did love the ladies, just like every man(expect eunuchs), but there was never really one who could match him. I mean, let's face it, Jack Sparrow was wild and un-trustworthy, but to his mind he was just perfect and finding a perfect woman for him was, well impossible Truly impossible. Jack never actually believed in love, and neither he would ever feel love. Expect the feeling when he knew that he was perfect. And this feeling of perfection was constant. So it was actually very odd that he hadn't let out something utterly stupid to the young lady.

"I'm offended. Don't you know who I am? I'm captain Jack Sparrow, of course. I'm nothing like those, wild beasts over there."
Lifting a groomed eyebrow, Amaya stood from her chair and made to circle around this "Captain" Jack Sparrow. Yes, that name certainly rang a bell somewhere deep in her sub-conscious, yet, the face didn't match all those imaginative details one's own mind makes up for a being it hasn't seen yet. No, unlike the pointed nose she thought he'd have, his nose was nothing of the sort. However, she didn't not exactly go day dreaming about rouge pirates, only thought about them as an act of curiosity. for example. she had made great assumption in years past about what the infamous Captain Morgan had looked like, what his ship consisted of, and what kind of fabulous riches he may have plunder. Taking into account that this man was not, in fact, included in the brawl, Amaya came to the conclusion that perhaps he was not all bad.
However, the brunette remained a tad bit wary of the man before her. she wasn't looking to be drug the gallows anytime soon yet, mischief was Amaya's middle name, so to speak. After taking in the Bohemian look he so effortlessly seemed to dawn, Amaya looked him in the eyes before replying. Yes, he was an odd bloke just off the bat, however, one should not judge a book by it's cover.
"Perhaps I've heard of a Jack Sparrow marauding these, open waters....but a captain? I'd have to see a man's ship before I can call him Captain." She said, letting a smirk tug at the corners of her lips. "However, I may let this one slide. If you aren't such a frothy pig, captain, I suppose I should return the favor for a decent man...."
Lifting her right leg, Amaya placed it on the hilt of the unoccupied chair to her left and gave it a small pushing, offering the seat to the pirate.
" More rum?" she asked, cocking her head to one side. " Amaya. Amaya O' Hirelihy. Please excuse my defensive position, captain. There be dragons in these waters..."

Jack suddenly felt uncomfortable. He felt as if he was standing naked right front of her and she was here to evaluate was he worthy of standing there. Never before had a woman actually dared to question the great captain. When he told that he was a captain, women swooned. When he told that he had sailed the seven seas, the women literally fell to his hands and that was it. Jack rarely ad to do anything else. But this. This particular individual did intrigue the captain of the Black Pearl. Not often did someone like this cross paths with him and well, Jack had met countless other women in his life. He didn't let it show, but he was slightly amused by her words. He only smirked and sat down, those brown eyes intensively eyeing the woman. " Oh I'm more than just decent." Sparrow muttered and grinned widely and slightly mischievously.
Who could ever say no for rum? No, definitely not Jack Sparrow. " Yes please. A man cannot go far without rum." He said with a grin. " Dragons, aye? They be dangerous ones too?" Asked he sneakily, of course not meaning about himself. " I sailed with a chap once who actually believed that they were these odd sea creatures living in the seas and he believed that they looked like dragons. Poor lad died two days after that..Horrible, very horrible accident that included a bottle of rum and a sail." Jack frowned a bit when he recalled the incident and shuddered. Oh why did he brought that one up? The young woman probably was uninterested about his stories in the raging seas. So, Jack decided to take a more smoother way to get more information about her. " Do tell me, dear. How did a pretty lass like yeself end up in this..hole?" He asked smirking.

When he took the rum from her hands, Amaya watched curiosly as he knocked the amber liquid back like it was nothing. While she could stand it, Amaya had to hand it to him, Jack Sparrow was no light weight. Bringing her own bottle back to her own lips, Amaya took a reasonable gulp herself, once more relishing in the after glow of the sting. L Listening to his short tale, she watched his quirky exoressions and the seemingly devious glances he threw at her, and everyone else, and decided that perhaps there was more to this man than just his 'title'. The tale told, passed down from perhaps his imgaination, of sea dragons was amusing. If such a beast did exsist, perhaps that was Davy Jones' monstrous pet? Who knew, for he could just have made the tale up. Tossing it aside, Amaya was once again faced with a personal question. Chewing the inside of her cheek, Amaya scowled briefly before taking a swig of rum. Swallowing, the brunette looked back to the dark man across from her. She felt herself somewhat drawn to him, curious to know just how many layers made him whole. Thinking quickly, Amaya willed herself to speak. "It was rather unfortunate really. New cabin boy aboard, set the ship a blaze. I was one of the lucky ones."Breaking eye contact, Amaya shook her head once in a stiff manner while raising the muggy glass to her lips once again. Scoffing to herself, Amaya shrugged slightly and downed the rest of the bottle. [/ul][/blockquote]

But he honestly didn't give rats ass what people thought of his drinking habits. He had a passion for rum and he was in love with the sea. What else could you say. His way was the only way. Call it narcissism if you will. His brown eyes settled at her and for a while Jack kept his mouth shut. He was wondering what could he let out from his big mouth so he wouldn't say something utterly stupid making the young woman go away. He was still alone in here, since Gibbs was..not present. Where ever that bearded man was, probably sleeping with the pigs again. Or then making sure that the Pearl had the all the necessary needs.
Jack wasn't exactly sure how to react to her words when she let them out after Jack's so-called true story. Actually, his story was only half true. The lad who told this was crooked from the head already and these dragons were really seaweed. And he died after falling overboard and no one really had the interest of pulling the poor chap back. Anyway, back the reality. The captain gave a quick frown and then arched his eyebrow. " Lucky, eh? Not too lucky if you ended up here." Jack said almost sincerely and gave the place a glance. People fighting, drinking, laughing and oh, would you look at that, someone pissing in the corner and someone throwing up. Very attractive. Jack suddenly felt great unease and he cleared his throat. " Haven't you sailed after that?" The man asked frowning again.

Following his eyes, Amaya observed the tavern herself, almost loosing herself in the unique mirth the building housed so long as the rum was following and the women kept selling. His rich voice brought her back from the edge of dream state. If there was something to be said about their encounter, it was that Amaya could sense no malice from the individual whom set with her, for all she could tell so far. Risking a small, genuine smile, Amaya lightly giggled at the in his words, placing the empty bottle to rest upon the musty, old wood. Leaning forward, the brunette casually crossed her arms as well as her shapely legs, focusing on Jack. "It's heaven and hell when in Tortuga. However, I do feel as though I'm beginning to over stay my welcome for now..."Green eyes lazily grazing over the mysterious Jack Sparrow, the wheels in Amaya's head where turning. Perhaps, if he really was a captain, she could persuade him to come aboard his ship. The salty sea air beckoned her to follow it out across open waters. However, there was one problem here. The position in which she found herself sacred her, yet intrigued her. To venture fort, or pull back? The general attraction the brunette held toward this man was beginning to make Amaya feel uncomfortable. Scowling, Amaya stared at him for a moment. Truth be told she hadn't sailed in a year, stuck in the pirate port. "I must admit that I haven't sailed the sea since. However, I do feel a change in the wind...More please!" Shouting out across the tavern to a near by tavern maid, Amaya flashed her a bright smile before popping her neck. [/ul][/blockquote]

Women went crazy around him and to him, it had to do with his natural charm. He was after all stunning and he was quite surprised that women sometimes had the power to resist him. Jack suddenly felt a small tingling in his cheeks, meaning that all those slaps from women still lingered. He tried not to set his eyes at the people around him, who didn't pay any attention to them, but still. The undeniable scent of urine started to hover on the air and Jack shuddered again. Even the Black Pearl was more cleaner than this filthy place. Jack didn't belong here, this was a pub and he was a captain with a big boat. But then again, he had rum in his hands so leaving it alone would mean the end of the world to Jack Sparrow. At first, he didn't exactly pay attention to the lovely lady, but then looked back and gave a small just in time to hear her last sentence.
Captain Sparrow was full of many ideas and most of them were out the impulse of the time. He didn't exactly give anything a second thought even if the idea had blown to his face. In his head, he never did mistakes. He always thought everything was completely fine as long as you didn't get killed. And now, a thought was scheming in his head. let me give you a hint. A woman onboard. Gibbs wouldn't be happy, but he wasn't the captain, right? Jack let out, slightly cunning look at her and smirked. " And what say you, if I told that I had the fastest ship in the Caribbean?" Jack asked hoping she would actually believe him since most of the women here rarely did that. But Jack had a feeling that..what's her face..Amaya, yes Amaya, would be something different.

Was that her only request. Jack let out a chuckle and smirked. " My dear, you can find my ship in the harbor, right there, next to the dingy ones. It's magnifianct and surprisingly, not gone..This time." He muttered the two words quietly, yet knowing that there was no sane reason why would anyone steal a ship like the Pearl. Wait a minute. The Pearl was the biggest ship at the harbor and it had to be more than tempting to thieves. But he trusted the skills of the sailors he had left to guard his ship. Jack flashed a small grin back to the girl after coming back from his thoughts.
And by the look of the woman, she was not joking about this. Jack tilted his head little bit to his side and took a long sip from his rum. " Aye, I shall show me ship to you." He said smirking after the liquid had reached his throat. " But in one condition." Of course, there as a condition. And this one, had simmered in his head for a while now after meeting this young lady. " I'll show you my ship, if you promise to come and be part of the crew?" Jack said now grinning even wider, his eyes locked in hers. No, he wasn't fooling around. Never before he had met such woman like Amaya here and well, he could need her on the Pearl. And if the time needed, maybe do some dirty work for Jack, like settling depths.

Amaya almost rolled her eyes. Yes, she could see the ship. This man truly was becoming a piece of work, not that she minded. However, she was not questioning his word on having a ship. NO, she questioned just how fast the ship really was. Sighing, she mumbling under her breath; "Yes, I can see the ship. Do not belittle me Sparrow."" Aye, I shall show me ship to you. But in one condition.I'll show you my ship, if you promise to come and be part of the crew?"What? Join his crew? Now this was unexpected! While her urge to shout yes was threatening to burst from behind her lips, Amaya wondered if there was more to this condition that just simply that. She was more than sure that he had taken plenty of woman to his ship before. Why would she bind herself to this stranger just for a "fast" ship? Then again, how many women did he ever ask to join his crew? Licking her lips, Amaya stood from her chair. While she was still slightly concerned, one only lives once, right? Why not take the offer? Narrowing her brow, the brunette stuck out her hand. "Hmm, I'll join you crew, on on condition of my own. Escort your newest crew member to this 'magnificent' vessel?" [/blockquote] [/ul]
