:: Lord Beckett had decided to go home early because he was tired after having spent the whole day at the office. He had received many visitors that morning, especially Governor Swann's visit because wanted explanations about it because he had raised taxes and tariffs . People could not afford such prices were very high. For Beckett did not mind at all if the citizens of the city could not pay, the most important thing for him was enough money to send to England.
Now he was heading home, riding his horse, Ares, a fine specimen of pure blood from Spain, where he came from the best horses in the world. A quick trot, Cutler Beckett covered his face with the cape Inverness more to prevent the cold come more into the body. Could only see two ice blue eyes could freeze all that was around him.
The citizens of Port Royale to see Lord Beckett, they took off their hats to express their respects to the english Lord. Beckett ignored the greetings and kept the eyes toward the horizon, he just smiled at the beautiful women with lustful eyes.
He took the reins firmly to stop the horses. He had arrived at the port, had dark, Beckett could see the Endeavor with some pride, that was his boat and he was the captain of the royal navy, had all the power of the army of the King of England. The soldiers guarding the port adopted a strong position to recognize the short but stylish figure of Lord Beckett was covered by this long dark cope. They were doing the night shift and who would doubt until dawn-
"Soldiers, I hope ye do good duty tonight and do not sleep, incompetents. If you see any pirate, do not hesitate to shoot. It does not matter if a woman, an old woman or a child. Less pirates, less pest" .He hisses softly but menacing enough to frighten the soldiers and claimed the heads repeatedly.
Beckett's eyes narrowed slightly before giving the horse two gentle kicks on both sides of the belly to walk again. He wanted to get home, relax with a hot water bath.

Post by TEMPERANCE KENSINGTON on Aug 21, 2010 19:06:02 GMT -5
the night was young, and lady temperance had decided to go out for a ... walk. who knows when she would be returning, she had intentions to go many places tonight. she carried no bag with her, she was no dolt, but she dressed with all the elegance she should have considering her wealth and status. her dress was ornate, pale in color with blues and yellows and whites mixing well. her shoes clicked on the stone as she walked with a slow and confident gait, her dress swishing with each step she took. her hair was down today, but curled in such a fashion that allowed it to cascade just past her shoulders with not a lock out of place. she wore a hat, somewhat unnecessarily for this time of day, but with it completing the outfit one couldn't really find fault in it's presence. temperance scanned the streets absentmindedly, a thoughtful look on her face as she attempted to plan tonight's little adventure. she was to meet with her team, and scam as many people as she could down in tortuga. she could imagine the cards, hearing the fwip noise they made and feeling them in her hand. and, of course, she could already feel the swelling in her chest that came with winning. when you cheated, getting your hopes high was all part of the thrill. she supposed she could be considered a con artist, with an expertise in card-counting. who would expect lady temperance, though, to be the infamous spades. she hoped no one did. slowly coming back to reality and leaving her thoughts behind, temperance spotted none other than lord cutler beckett riding his horse and barking out assistive orders as usual. she strained her ears to listen to what he was saying, and once she got close enough, she smirked wryly. "my my, lord beckett. it seems that you are not at all as kind-hearted as they say." she drawled, approaching and peering up at him with a quirked brow. yes, lady temperance was never one to mince her words.
