For as long as both Ash Tree Equestrian Centre and Stoney Creek Stables have both been operating in Cold Springs, Colorado, there has always been competition between the riders of the barns. But in the past few years, what used to be friendly competition has turned into an unhealthy rivalry.
Though the owners of the riding stables aren't necessarily in competition with each other, the riders have taken it upon themselves to best the other barn through the various competitions held in the area, and outside of it. Despite some riders between barns being friendly with each other, others have taken it upon themselves to sabotage the other.
Whilst the competition occurs, there is another threat to the stables. A ring of horse thieves have started to sweep Cold Springs, taking whatever they can lay their hands on. Can the two stables put aside their differences in order to help stop the thefts, or will their rivalry stop them from seeing the bigger picture?
