The road to nowhere leads somewhere, but no one who lives close to it travels down the road. Occasionally a tourist will ignore their whispered warnings, passing it off as mere superstition, and they're rather surprised when they come across the small town of Astrins Pointe. The people are kind enough, though distance, and there isn't a single place for a traveler to stay the night.
That's because Astrins Pointe isn't merely a town. Its a prison for the supernatural beings who were unlucky enough to be caught by the American Government. They're forced to live ordinary lives amongst a large group of military men who won't hesitate to kill them at the slightest sign of a rebellion.
Of course many of the townspeople refuse to rebel because of the promise. Once a person with special abilities is deemed "civilized" enough then they are taken and allowed to live with the normal humans. This is the promise. And this promise is broken. When its someone's turn to leave the town they are taken to a testing facility further up the road where numerous tests are done on them to find out what, exactly, is different and how their powers can be used and controlled for the country.
And yet a rebellion is forming. The different species are joining forces, and there are even a few humans joining their ranks. So which side will you be on? Are you going to join in the rebellion and fight for your freedom, are you going to be one of the guards who tries to squash any hope the people feel, or are you going to sit back and watch, waiting to see what happens and keeping your nose clean?
